Very Attractive Women (VAW) Facts
Here are some VAW facts:
1) VAWs are often avoided because others feel diminished in their presence. A VAW may not realize her beauty causes others to shy away from her. She may believe a personality flaw makes her unlikable. As a result, VAWS often feel isolated and as if there is something wrong with them. They may be looked at but rarely seen.
2) A VAW may become so attuned to others’ stares that she observes herself from the outside in instead of living her life from the inside out.
3) A VAW may become addicted to others’ attention. This addiction can stunt personality and social development.
4) Behaviors designed to keep a VAW beautiful can become addictive and also limit personality and social development.
5) Some men feel rejected by VAWs and want to hurt them. Many VAWs feel like prey and are stalked and harassed by men. Being a VAW can be dangerous.
6) VAWs can be put on a pedestal by men who feel intimidated by them. Men who are strong enough not to feel intimidated may use them as a sex object. As a result, relationships with the opposite sex are often shallow and/or exploitive.
7) Many VAWS must find ways to handle unwelcome attention. Some VAWS deal with several unwelcome advances every day. Turning men down constantly doesn’t feel good and can make a VAW fear she is unkind. Others may judge her negatively when she rejects advances.
8) A VAW may marry a very successful man looking for a trophy wife. Trophy wives are chosen primarily for their appearance. These marriages often lack mutual respect and genuine love and can easily become emotionally and/or physically abusive. Aging trophy wives are often discarded and replaced by younger women.
9) A VAW may be so defined by her appearance that she loses her identity as she ages.
10) No matter how hard she works or how talented she may be, many will accuse a VAW of sleeping her way to the top. A VAW knows her appearance contributes to her achievements and may also feel she has not earned her way. This means a VAW may never feel she has earned her success.
11) VAWs experience considerable advantages but also encounter serious disadvantages. Many people resent VAWs and want to punish them because of the preferential treatment they enjoy.
12) VAWs are often prejudged as dumb, silly, shallow, cruel, conceited and promiscuous. They may be treated like bimbos regardless of their actual personality characteristics.
Confounding Factors:
The problems a VAW faces can be confusing for the following 9 reasons:
1) The Ugly Duckling Factor - Many VAWs aren’t sure they are VAWs.
2) The Tender Years Factor – VAW problems often start at a very young age long before a VAW is capable of understanding her experience. Since she has always been treated this way she has trouble gaining perspective.
3) The Princess Factor – In our culture, a VAW is seen as a winner and believed to have no problems. She may think she has no problems even while feeling very sad inside. To try to feel better, she may try to look prettier. These attempts do nothing to solve her real issues.
4) The Envy Factor – Admitting one is a VAW and openly acknowledging difficulties exposes a VAW to ridicule and attack.
5) The Unawareness Factor – VAW problems are poorly understood and the syndrome not well publicized.
6) The Isolation Factor – VAWs are often isolated and in competition with each others. As a result they may not share their experiences with other VAWs. VAWs can’t usually talk about their experiences with women who are not VAWs.
7) The Promiscuity Factor – VAWs have more opportunity to sleep with lots of men. Shame about the number of partners can make a VAW reluctant to talk about her experiences.
8) The Addiction Factor – The attention a VAW receives can be addictive and very exciting. Being a VAW can feel great. This excitement obscures the longer term costs and problems. Attempts to hold onto VAW attention can lead to eating disorders and other addictions that cover up underlying problems.
9) The Chameleon Factor – A VAW’s appearance can change with time; she may continue to suffer from VAW problems when she is no longer seen as a VAW.
